The Arctic is one of the most inaccessible, yet beautiful places on earth. Teeming with life, animals and plants withstand some of the harshest extremes of temperature and light. 19th century explorer Fridtj of Nansen called the Arctic, "Natures great ice temple, a place teeming with roaming polar bears and a forbidding landscape frozen since the earliest dawn of time."
